This is a 33 year old female who came to Rao Plastic and Hand Surgery to discuss an abdominoplasty and liposuction. She was looking to improve the appearance of her abdomen and had concerns of skin laxity/stretch marks in that area. She was unhappy with the excess skin and overall contour of her stomach area. She was done having children and was last pregnant over 10+ years ago. After discussing the options with her, I felt that she would be a good candidate for liposuction of her back and flanks with an abdominoplasty, which would successfully achieve her aesthetic goals. We also discussed in her initial consultation that she did not have prior surgery, any hernias, and was not pregnant, so we continued on to schedule her for surgery. I performed liposuction to abdomen, back, and flanks, and continued with an abdominoplasty on her stomach area at a surgery center in Tucson. The liposuction acts as an important adjunct to the tummy tuck because it allowed us to better contour her flanks and abdomen, and helped with removing additional unwanted fat. The excess skin on her stomach that she was concerned about was no longer an issue. Her surgery was over 4 months ago, her post-op journey has been great, and she is very happy with her results. Another confident patient!
