Rhinoplasty Case #7
This patient is 38 year old professional woman that came to our Tucson, Arizona for a rhinoplasty consultation because she was unhappy with the appearance of her nose. She had never been pleased with the appearance of her nose and she was most bothered by the bump on her nose and her drooping nasal tip. She had never experienced any trauma to her nose and fortunately had not been experiencing any breathing problems through her nose. During the rhinoplasty consultation I discussed ways in which we could address her areas of concern through an open rhinoplasty. Her surgery was performed at an outpatient surgery center in Tucson, Arizona. Through a small incision on her columella (the area of skin between the nostrils) and small internal nasal incisions I was able to correct her nasal hump. Using her own cartilage as support I was able to rotate her nasal tip up and provide her with better tip support. She was discharged the same day from the outpatient surgery center. She followed up the next day after her rhinoplasty in our Tucson, Arizona office and was doing well. I did not use any nasal packing and as a result she only had some mild discomfort and some bruising. Her recovery was uneventful and she was back to her high pace job in one week. From her first postoperative visit she was able to see an immediate difference after her rhinoplasty. She is currently six months out from her rhinoplasty and loves her new nose.
